inAlmost everyone I know already does this, but for the first time in my life I’m turning off the tap whilst brushing my teeth. I don’t know why I’ve always been so resistant to this simple suggestion – but I have.
So here are the facts that I’m going to try and remember, so that I can change the habit of a lifetime.
Brushing your teeth for 2 minutes with the tap on wastes around 6 gallons of water. Putting that in terms I could relate to – about 48 pints!
This will result in savings of £5-£10 per month. (My new year’s resolution to change the world is turning out to be a little costly – so every little helps!)
768 million people do not have access to clean, safe drinking water. Just because I have, I shouldn’t take it for granted…
