games change

I’m wondering if games can make a difference. I’ve visited http://www.wfp.org/students-and-teachers/students/fun-and-learn ‘Test your hunger IQ – Feed a Child’

“For every person who takes this short hunger quiz, a child will receive a warm meal thanks to an anonymous donor to WFP. Test your hunger IQ, then challenge your friends!”

So I’ve done this.

Then I played ‘Darfur is dying’ I can honestly say it’s the most depressing game I’ve ever played…. But it made its point.

If you’re more serious about your gaming, you might want to try Games for Change.

Their mission: “Catalyzing social impact through digital change”.

Getting people to play games that will help to inspire them to change the world? Why not?
